Our programs focus on empowering women, youth, and vulnerable farmers with the tools, knowledge, and resources they need to build secure and dignified lives.
Strengthening Food Production and Farming Practices
We support farmers—especially in rain-fed areas—to increase productivity and adopt climate-resilient techniques.
Our initiatives include:
Distribution of donkey ploughs, improved hoes, and high-quality seedlings to rain-fed farmers
Training farmers in modern agricultural techniques for legumes, hibiscus, and other local crops
Delivering courses on integrated pest management systems to reduce crop losses and improve yields
Empowering Women Through Income-Generating Activities (IGAs)
To create viable economic opportunities for young people, we implement:
Training of Trainers (ToT) programs for youth leaders
Provision of SBsS machines (or specify full name if you want) as start-up assets for youth IGAs

Reducing Post-Harvest Loss and Improving Food Storage
Post-harvest loss is a major challenge for farming households in Sudan. SAHARI works to ensure that families keep more of what they produce through:
