Sahari Organization for Development – Canada stands with refugees, displaced persons, and families affected by war as they rebuild their lives in safety and dignity. Canada has long welcomed people fleeing conflict, and Sahari supports the government and communities in providing settlement, skills development, leadership, and healing programs that empower newcomers to thrive.
Our roots are in Sudan, where since 2016, Sahari has delivered lifesaving aid, education, and psychosocial support to families and children affected by conflict. The ongoing war in Sudan, since April 2023, has created one of the world’s largest humanitarian crises, leaving millions displaced and in urgent need of assistance. Sahari has remained committed to bringing hope and essential services to those most affected.

To mobilize Canadian support for lifesaving WASH, health, food security, education, and livelihood programs delivered by Sahari on the ground in Sudan.

Our Strategy
Supporting vocational skills training and income-generating activities, alongside raising awareness on natural resource management and environmental protection, as well as providing essential nutrition education to households. Additionally, efforts are made to ensure communities have access to clean water, basic health services, and hygienic environments.
